In September 2022, Hope of Family supported the community in Shyogwe sector (Muhanga District) constructing 40 kitchen gardens likely to improve daily diet for a balanced under five children’s nutrition. These kitchen gardens were constructed in public areas (e.g., Centre) for allowing the community members copying the model; others were constructed for some households.

The latest survey (April 2022) carried out on 3,864 children in Shyogwe indicated that 3.2% of them were malnourished. by now Hope of Family have also established 268 kitchen gardens in a same number of households in Shyogwe sector. The project is carried on.
