Few weeks ago, Hope of Family, in collaboration with NABU, an organization dedicated to accelerating literacy through access to mother tongue books, held an enriching reading session for children under Hope of Family's Talent Detection Program - Reading & Storytelling. Super thrilled to collaborate with NABU, as it aligns perfectly with our mission and goals.
NABU's vision of addressing the global literacy crisis and ensuring every child can read and reach their full potential resonates deeply with the objectives of Hope of Family. This collaboration is particularly significant in fostering reading and storytelling skills among our children.
During the event, Philippe Nkwakuzi, Country Manager at NABU, and Ricardo Tuyishimire, Ambassadors' Program Coordinator at NABU, engaged with the children, reading stories together. The joy and engagement of the children highlighted their eagerness to develop these crucial skills, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives.
With NABU's support, approximately 170 children supported by Hope of Family in the field of Reading & Storytelling via the Talent Detection Program gain access to a vast array of books and stories written in their mother tongue through NABU's innovative app on smartphones and tablets. This initiative not only enhances their reading skills but also helps them connect deeply with their cultural heritage.
We are excited about this collaboration and the positive impact it will have on the children we serve. Through the, we are confident that we will make significant strides in promoting literacy and education in our community.
