Muhanga, August, 2023: Hope of Family, in collaboration with the Shyogwe sector organized a youth competition named “Hope of Family & Shyogwe Sector Youth Tournament.” The objective of the tournament was to encourage young people and school children who are on holiday to not be idle and to remember to review their notes as the new academic year is about to begin.

 It was also a good opportunity to encourage parents living in the Shyogwe sector to actively participate in their children’s education and to combat drug abuse as well as to campaign against Early pregnancies among the youth in the Shyogwe sector of Muhanga District.

This tournament has achieved interesting results as it was well-attended and the intended message was successfully transmitted.

The Football tournament concluded with Mbare Cell emerging as the winner of the competition. They faced Mubaga Cell in the final game and scored 2-0. Additionally, there was a match for third place, in which Ruli’s team competed against Kinini’s team and emerged victorious with a score of 3-1.

More than 1000 people were reached by the campaign message delivered by Hope of Family and Shyogwe Sector. The competition was a success, with the youth requesting to make it an annual event because they heard a message that would particularly benefit them, especially during the holidays.
